Haier / Hoover / Candy Tumble Dryer Safety Information - July 2025
The Haier Group (comprising Haier, Hoover & Candy appliance brands) recently identified a variability in their production of built-in tumble dryers that, on rare occasions, can generate an internal short circuit to occur. In certain circumstances and under certain conditions, this short circuiting may result in the machine igniting.
To check if you have one of the affected models, please use the below link and follow the on-screen instruction to book a free of charge service engineer visit, to resolve the issue. You will require the
Seriel Number of your machine. This can be found on the right-hand side of the product upon opening the door. Serial numbers are usually a 16 digit code.
If you own an affected model, Haier recommends you stop using it immediately and submit your details to their website below for further instructions.

Tower Airfry Safety Recall - April 2025
Tower recently identified a potential issue with certain Tower air fryer models and are conducting a voluntary recall.
The affected air fryers were manufactured between January 2022 and April 2023 and have the following model numbers sold by Power City:
- T17023 - Tower 2.2LITRE (2 PORTION) AIR FRYER - MANUAL CONTROLS
- T17067 - Tower 4 LITRE 1400W DIGITAL AIR FRYER - BLACK - (3-4 PORTIONS)
Please check your model number by looking at the appliance rating label.
If you own an affected model, Tower recommends you stop using it immediately and submit your details to their website below for further instructions.
